Welcome to Queretaro, Mexico
Queretaro is one of Mexico's cleanest and safest cities. The historic center, or downtown core, was officially declared a "Cultural Heritage of Mankind" by UNESCO, and it offers to visitors a tradition of nearly 500 years of colonial and indigenous history. The impressive aqueduct, the beautifully preserved colonial architecture in houses and palaces, as well as amazing food, arts and theatre, make Queretaro a favorite destination outside of the traditional coastal beach tourist destinations.
Querétaro (former formal name: Querétaro de Arteaga) is a state in central México. Its capital is the city of Santiago de Queretaro, however Queretaro is generally used to refer to both the capital and the name of the state.
